Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable children in Bristol? Do you possess patience, compassion, and resilience? Are you ready to empower and support the most challenging students?

Ever wondered what it takes to work in school education? The answer might surprise you. You don't need specific teaching qualifications or prior school experience. What truly matters are the behaviours and qualities you bring to the table.

We've welcomed candidates from diverse backgrounds, and their transferable skills have thrived in this unique setting. While this list isn't exhaustive, it offers an idea of the types of individuals who have excelled.

  • Graduates, especially those in art, English, drama, criminology, and psychology.
  • Support workers, particularly those with a background in mental health.
  • Sports coaches.
  • Youth leaders.
  • Childminders.

We're currently recruiting for four full-time Teaching Assistants to guide small groups of students both inside and outside the classroom. You'll receive support from our leadership team and classroom educators, along with on-the-job training and access to our CPD academy. However, you must be proactive, curious and always looking to improve on your skills. Your role will involve helping students develop crucial life skills while ensuring their well-being and academic success. To be eligible, you'll need a minimum of a GCSE C grade or above in both math and English (or equivalent qualifications).

Here's what we have to offer:

  • Central Bristol location, easily accessible by public transport if you don't drive.
  • Competitive pay of £12.95 an hour.
  • Full-time position with the potential for permanent placement after an initial settling-in period.
  • Immediate start.
  • Be a part of a brand-new school and shape its future. This is your chance to make a meaningful impact on a unique establishment and leave your mark.

If you're interested, don't hesitate to reach out. I look forward to hearing from you.
