We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Challenging Behaviour Support Worker to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored, person-centered support to individuals with challenging behaviours, helping them with daily activities and promoting independence.
- Manage and respond to challenging behaviours using positive behaviour support techniques, de-escalation strategies, and clear communication.
- Assist with personal care, daily living tasks, and community integration activities.
- Work with individuals to develop life skills, build confidence, and achieve personal goals.
- Develop strong relationships with service users and work closely with families, carers, and other professionals.
- Maintain accurate records and report on the progress, behaviour, and needs of individuals.
- Support the emotional, social, and physical well-being of service users in line with their individual support plans.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to the ongoing development of care plans.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience working with individuals who exhibit challenging behaviours or complex needs (desirable but not essential—full training provided).
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
- Patience, empathy, and a compassionate approach to supporting individuals with diverse needs.
- A positive attitude and the ability to use initiative when managing challenging situations.
- Understanding of positive behaviour support and other relevant intervention strategies (training provided).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle (preferred but not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
