We are seeking a Challenging Behaviour Support Assistant to join our dynamic team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with students who require additional support to overcome barriers and thrive in their learning environment.

About the Role

As a Challenging Behaviour Support Assistant, you will:

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with challenging behaviours.
• Implement tailored behaviour management strategies in line with individual education and behaviour plans.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies to ensure a consistent approach to behaviour support.
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being through de-escalation techniques and active listening.
• Encourage students to engage in their education and build their confidence and self-esteem.

About You

We are looking for individuals who:

• Have experience working with children or young people, particularly those with behavioural challenges or special educational needs.
• Are patient, empathetic, and resilient, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with students and colleagues.
• Hold relevant qualifications or training in behaviour management, child development, or SEN (desirable but not essential).
• Are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
