Teaching Personnel are working with an all-boys private school in Horsham, catering to primary and secondary-aged pupils who display challenging behaviour. We are looking for resilient, patient, and nurturing individuals with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to be authoritative.

About the Role:

  • Position: Behaviour Teaching Assistant
  • Location: Horsham
  • School Type: All-boys private school for primary and secondary-aged pupils
  • Salary: £24,944 per annum, paid 52 weeks per year (including half terms and bank holidays)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to pupils displaying challenging behaviour
  • Work closely with teachers and other staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Implement behaviour management strategies and support pupils' social and emotional development
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, helping them to feel safe and understood
  • Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes student confidence and resilience

What We're Looking For:

  • Own Car and UK Driving Licence or reliable commute (school has no public transport links)
  • Resilient and patient individuals with a nurturing approach
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff
  • Authoritative yet compassionate, able to handle challenging situations calmly and effectively
  • Previous experience working with pupils displaying challenging behaviour is desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
