Job description

Are you passionate about supporting students with diverse behavioural needs? Do you have experience working with children in a school setting and a strong interest in promoting positive behaviour?

We are looking for a Behaviour Support Specialist Teaching Assistant to play a key role in helping students with challenging behaviours engage more effectively in their learning. In this role, you’ll work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff, providing one-on-one support, implementing behaviour management strategies, and fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with individual behaviour plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement effective behaviour management strategies.
  • Provide tailored support to help students stay engaged and achieve academically.
  • Monitor and track students’ progress and well-being.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working in a school or support role, particularly with students with special educational needs.
  • Knowledge of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to working with children.
  • A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
