SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Worthing
Hours: Monday to Friday 08:30 – 15:30
Start Date: November

We are currently recruiting for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work as a 1:1 support to a pupil in a mainstream primary school.

The head-teacher is looking for an educator who has experience supporting pupils with ASD and challenging behaviour. You will need to be reliable and able to provide a consistent support to the pupil throughout the school day.

The role will entail working within a Year 2 class where you will support the pupil as a 1:1 and within smaller group sessions. The pupil is quite challenging, so we are looking for an educator who is very resilient but also flexible. The reason that flexibility is important is due to the pupil sometimes completing tasks outside of the classroom and using nearby sensory rooms.

  • An educator who has experience supporting pupils with ASD (not solely school-based experience)
  • Someone who is resilient and is willing to go the extra mile when supporting the pupil
  • An educator who is able to build trustworthy relationships with the pupil and the family
  • A bubbly and friendly personality
  • An educator who has a strong presence and can persevere through challenging situations
  • Can demonstrate self-determination

  • You will have your own dedicated consultant who will assist you throughout your whole process with Teaching Personnel
  • We have our own CPD academy for you to develop your own skills.
  • We will offer you a Team-Teach Course which a credited behaviour management course for just £40!! (Usually over £300+)
  • You will also receive a FREE Level 2 Safeguarding course

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
