We are actively seeking individuals who are up for the challenge to support and empower these students in Eastbourne.
Position: SEMH Learning Support Assistant
Location: Eastbourne, East Sussex
Hours: Full-time positions available
As an SEMH Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing support to secondary-aged students with challenging behaviours. If you have a thick skin, a great sense of humour, and the ability to implement authority while remaining compassionate, we want you to become a valuable addition to our school's team of dedicated staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement authority with a compassionate approach to support SEMH pupils
- Provide assistance in a range of subjects and extracurricular activities
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Navigate and manage challenging behaviours with resilience and empathy
Requirements:
- Resilience and a great sense of humour
- Ability to implement authority while maintaining a compassionate approach
- Enhanced Child Only DBS registered to the update service or willingness to apply

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
