Behaviour Buddy – Year 1 (Primary School)
Location: Blackburn
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time
We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Buddy to join our Year 1 team and provide 1:1 support to a pupil with challenging behaviour. This rewarding role requires a passionate and patient individual who can help foster positive behaviour and learning in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to a Year 1 pupil with behavioural needs.
- Implement behaviour management strategies in line with the school’s policies.
- Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other professionals to create a supportive and structured learning environment.
- Foster the pupil’s social, emotional, and educational development.
Essential Requirements:
- A minimum of Level 2 qualification in education or childcare.
- Extensive experience working with primary-aged pupils, particularly those with challenging behaviour.
- Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
- Ability to build rapport with pupils and provide consistent support.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
