Job Title: Autism Support

Location: North Manchester, M24

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £12.90 - £13.95 per hour

Start date: Wednesday 4th September 2024

A primary school in the M24 area are currently looking to recruit a talented individual for the role of Autism Support Assistant to provide exciting, educational experiences to year 2 pupils. This role would be 8.30am-3.30pm Monday – Friday, term time only. This is a long-term role and the school are looking for individual to be able to commit for the Autumn term initially, in order to provide the child with a consist support assistant.

Within this role, you will be working 1:1 with a pupil who has Autism. You will be expected to create positive relationships with these pupils, encouraging positive choices and behaviour. You will also be expected to provide general support within the classes and work collaboratively with other SEN support TAs and class teachers, getting involved in fun activities to support those children with additional learning needs.

The school have commented they would like the successful educator to have experience supporting Autism however, this can be personal and/or professional experience. The school are keen to consider a variety of staff so previous experience within a school is not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
