Assistant Headteacher (Behaviour and Pastoral Care) – Primary School in Swaffham, Norfolk (PE37)

A small, welcoming Catholic primary school in Swaffham is seeking an Assistant Headteacher with responsibility for Behaviour and Pastoral Care to join its leadership team. About the Role:
As Assistant Headteacher, you will be responsible for leading the school’s strategic direction and management of behaviour and pastoral support systems. Working closely with the Headteacher, SENDCo, staff, pupils, and families, you will foster a positive and inclusive school culture that reflects the school’s Christian values and creates a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment for all.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the school’s behaviour and pastoral care systems, ensuring high standards and inclusivity.
- Collaborate with staff, parents, and external agencies to provide pastoral support and embed the school’s values.
- Support pupils’ academic and personal growth, fostering resilience and mutual respect.
- Assist the Headteacher in driving school improvement and enhancing the overall learning environment.
- Act as a role model for staff, demonstrating inspirational leadership and professionalism.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
