Job Title: PMLD Teaching Assistant – Full-Time – Dulwich, South East London

Location: Dulwich
Start Date: Beginning of November
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term

Teaching Personnel, the UK’s leading education recruitment agency, is excited to offer an opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate PMLD Teaching Assistant to join an outstanding school in Dulwich, specialising in supporting students with ASD. This full-time position starts at the beginning of November and offers a rewarding role where you can make a real difference.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one or group support to students with ASD, helping them access the curriculum and engage in learning activities.
  • Assist the classroom teacher in creating and maintaining a safe, structured, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Support students with personal care, mobility, and communication needs, ensuring their well-being and comfort.
  • Use specialist equipment and assistive technology to support learning and independence.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with children or young adults with ASD or complex learning needs (preferred but not essential).
  • A caring, patient, and adaptable nature, with a commitment to supporting students with significant learning difficulties.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to assist with personal care and physical support needs.
  • A proactive and positive attitude, with a passion for making a difference in students' lives.
