About the Role

As an Art Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging and accessible art lessons tailored to the needs of SEN students.

• Use a variety of creative techniques to support learning, communication, and self-expression.

• Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.

• Work closely with SEN staff and support assistants to create a nurturing learning environment.

• Encourage students to develop confidence and independence in their artistic abilities.

• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them achieve their potential.

What They’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will be a creative and compassionate educator, with:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.

• Experience working in an SEN or inclusive education setting (preferred but not essential).

• A strong passion for using art as a tool for learning and emotional development.

• Excellent communication and adaptability skills.

• A patient, nurturing, and student-centred approach to teaching.
