Are you a passionate and creative Art teacher seeking a new and inspiring opportunity?
We are seeking an Art Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Watford from September. This is a full-time, long-term position ideal for an individual who is passionate about fostering creativity and skills in various art forms within a secondary education setting. You will need to have a demonstrable knowledge of art as a curriculum subject, including well known artists, and to be able to use different art techniques skilfully and creatively to an excellent standard to ensure consistency across the board during the absence of the usual class teacher.
Day-to-day of the role:
• Plan, prepare, and deliver inspiring art lessons that engage students and foster their creativity and skills in various art forms.
• Assess and evaluate students’ progress, providing constructive feedback to encourage their artistic development.
• Organise and maintain a stimulating classroom environment that is conducive to learning and creativity.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate art across the curriculum and actively participate in school events and art exhibitions.
• Stay current with developments in art education and integrate new ideas and techniques into the teaching plan.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• A relevant degree in Fine Arts, Art & Design, or a related field.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) specialising in Art.
• Experience teaching Art at the secondary education level is highly desirable.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• A genuine passion for art and the ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
