Teacher of Art

Full time, Temporary, Chorley

Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented and passionate Art Teacher to join our school in Chorley on a full-time, temporary basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is dedicated to inspiring creativity and nurturing artistic talent in students. The successful applicant will have strong subject knowledge and be passionate about sharing their love of Art with our young people. You will be able to demonstrate experience of achieving positive outcomes for pupils, as well as being passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people. As a committed team player, you will have excellent organisational skills and the natural ability to motivate both pupils and peers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging art lessons to students across various age groups and abilities.
  • Foster a creative and inclusive environment that encourages students to explore their artistic potential.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their skills.
  • Support extracurricular art activities, including exhibitions, workshops, and art clubs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a high standard of teaching and learning across the curriculum.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A passion for art and creativity, with a strong desire to inspire students.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience teaching Art at secondary level is preferred, but not essential.
  • Ability to manage a classroom effectively and adapt teaching to meet individual student needs.
