Art Teacher - Full-Time (Permanent)

A dynamic and forward-thinking secondary school in Bournemouth is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Art Teacher to join their creative team on a full-time, permanent basis starting in April. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fostering creativity and a commitment to delivering high-quality art education to students at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Art across Key Stage 3 and 4, with opportunities to contribute to Key Stage 5.

  • Plan and deliver engaging, innovative, and inspiring lessons that meet the needs of a diverse student body.

  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students can thrive.

  • Contribute to the development and enrichment of the school's Art curriculum.

  • Assess, monitor, and report on students' progress, providing constructive feedback to help them achieve their potential.

  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events, including art exhibitions and projects.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • A relevant teaching qualification (QTS) and a degree in Art or a related subject.

  • Experience teaching Art at secondary school level (Key Stage 3 and 4), with a passion for nurturing creativity and talent.

  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire students through a variety of teaching methods.

  • A commitment to continuous professional development and collaboration within the department.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
