Art & Design Teacher - Full Time (April 2025)
Mainstream Secondary School, Bournemouth
The school is seeking a passionate and dedicated Art & Design Teacher to join their dynamic and creative department on a full-time basis, starting in April 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to inspire and nurture students at Key Stage 3, 4, and 5, fostering a love for the arts and encouraging their creative development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching across Key Stage 3, 4, and 5, ensuring all students are supported in their artistic journey.
- Plan and execute engaging lessons that encourage creativity, experimentation, and critical thinking.
- Assess students’ work, providing constructive feedback to help them reach their full potential.
- Support students in preparing portfolios and coursework for GCSE and A-Level Art & Design qualifications.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and exhibitions.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Holds a recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent) and has experience teaching Art & Design at Key Stage 3, 4, and 5.
- A passionate, creative, and innovative teacher with a strong understanding of the national curriculum and art exam specifications.
- Able to inspire and motivate students of all abilities, fostering a nurturing and supportive classroom environment.
- A collaborative team player who is keen to contribute to the development of the Art & Design department.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
