Art and Design Teacher – High Peak

Teaching Personnel is working with a highly regarded secondary school in the High Peak area that is seeking an enthusiastic Art and Design Teacher to join their team in January 2024. About the Role:
- Start Date: January 2024
- Contract: Full-time (part-time considered for the right candidate)
- Pay Rate: £162–£251 per day (dependent on experience and pay scale)
- Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons in Art and Design to students across KS3 and KS4.
- Plan and deliver a curriculum that encourages creativity, technical skills, and critical thinking.
- Support students in developing their artistic abilities, from drawing and painting to digital design.
- Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their skills and confidence.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Prepare students for GCSE assessments, ensuring they meet their academic potential.
- Organise and oversee extracurricular activities such as art clubs or exhibitions.
What We’re Looking For:
- A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Art and Design in a secondary school setting.
- A passion for creative education and the ability to inspire students of all abilities.
- Strong knowledge of various art techniques, materials, and design principles.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- The ability to adapt lessons to meet the needs of diverse learners, including those with SEND.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
