Teaching Personnel is working with a highly regarded secondary school in the High Peak area that is seeking an enthusiastic Art and Design Teacher to join their team in January 2024. About the Role:

• Start Date: January 2024
• Contract: Full-time (part-time considered for the right candidate)
• Pay Rate: £162–£251 per day (dependent on experience and pay scale)
• Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons in Art and Design to students across KS3 and KS4.
• Plan and deliver a curriculum that encourages creativity, technical skills, and critical thinking.
• Support students in developing their artistic abilities, from drawing and painting to digital design.
• Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their skills and confidence.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Prepare students for GCSE assessments, ensuring they meet their academic potential.
• Organise and oversee extracurricular activities such as art clubs or exhibitions.

What We’re Looking For:

• A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Art and Design in a secondary school setting.
• A passion for creative education and the ability to inspire students of all abilities.
• Strong knowledge of various art techniques, materials, and design principles.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• The ability to adapt lessons to meet the needs of diverse learners, including those with SEND.
