ALN Support Assistant
Full Time
Teaching Personnel are currently working with a specialist school located in the Caerphilly, Hengoed area, helping them to find an ALN Support Assistant to join their team from September 2024.
The detail:
Location: Caerphilly/ Hengoed
Full-time/ part-time: Full-time
Hours: 08:30 – 15:30 (no weekends)
Pay: £86.40 per day
As an ALN Support Assistant, you will be expected to work throughout the school, therefore the ability to adapt to change is fundamental. You will be working with a range of classes, supporting a variety of learners who have a range of additional needs.
The successful SEN classroom assistant will:
- Embody the schools ethos and culture, acting as a role model for all pupils.
- Promote independence whilst supporting students
- Provide both 1-2-1 and small group support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including individuals with Autism, Speech and Language needs and Challenging Behaviour.
- Foster a nurturing and supportive environment to allow all students to feel valued and included.
- Collaborate with the class teacher to implement personalised learning plans.
- Be able to support the students inside and outside of the classroom, which may include personal care.
Requirements: (teaching personnel can help you acquire the below)
- Enhanced DBS.
- Register with education workforce council.
- Provide two previous employment references.
- Complete safeguarding level 2 – free through Teaching Personnel.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
