After School Club Assistant
Swansea
Immediate Start on Full-time Basis
Hourly Rate £10.20 - £12.00

Teaching Personnel are actively recruiting an After School Club Assistant to work in the Swansea area on a full-time basis. The hours will be from 3pm to 6pm. The position is in one of our partnership Welsh-Medium Primary Schools where the successful candidate will be helping run the after school club for the remainder of the academic year (until July). Although this job initially runs on a temporary contract with the school, they have indicated that there is scope to move into a permanent position for the right candidate if they fit well with the school and the students. Interviews for this position are being held over the coming weeks.
What does an After School Club Support Assistant do?
- Assist in the delivery of education to the after school club
- Reading tasks to students on 1:1 basis
- Support any students with additional learning needs
- Keeping students focused and task-orientated
- Manage challenging behaviours
What do I need to become an After School Club Assistant?
- Enthusiasm for Education & learning
- Patient and caring nature
- Minimum 5 GCSEs in core subjects
- Enhanced DBS Certificate available on the Update Service
- Valid registration with the Education Workforce Council
- No formal educational qualifications are required

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
