Administrative Assistant (Full-Time, Term Time Only)

Location: Garrett's Green, Birmingham
Salary: SPC05-08 (£21,323.21 - £22,357.12 actual pro-rata salary) + Final Salary Pension Scheme
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only – 39 weeks including inset days)

Our client is seeking a highly organised and professional administrative assistant to join their dedicated team at an academy in Garrett's Green, Birmingham. This role is integral to the smooth running of the school, providing high-quality administrative and reception support while acting as the first point of contact for parents, visitors, and external enquiries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide efficient and high-quality administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the academy.

  • Be the first point of contact for the school, handling email, online, and telephone enquiries.

  • Welcome and assist visitors, ensuring a professional and friendly approach.

  • Liaise effectively with parents, staff, and external stakeholders.

  • Maintain a well-organised and confidential administration system.

  • Assist with ordering, invoice processing, and goods receipting.

The Ideal Candidate Will Be

  • Self-motivated and committed to personal development.

  • Experienced in working in an office or customer-focused environment.

  • Confident working independently and as part of a team.

  • Skilled in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic ICT systems.

  • A strong communicator, with excellent written, oral, and telephone communication skills.

  • Highly organised with excellent prioritisation and time management skills.

  • Able to work with confidentiality and discretion at all times.
