Job description

ADHD Teaching Assistant

Location:

  • Southport, Merseyside, North West England

Salary:

  • £12.90 - £14.50 per hour

Job Duties:

  • Assist teachers in implementing individual education plans for students with ADHD
  • Provide one-on-one support to students with ADHD, helping them stay focused and engaged in their educational activities
  • Monitor and manage student behaviour in the classroom
  • Collaborate with educational staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for students with ADHD

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Previous experience working with students with ADHD
  • Knowledge of ADHD strategies and interventions

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of ADHD strategies and interventions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Patience and empathy when working with students

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional training in supporting students with ADHD

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a classroom setting with students with ADHD. The work may be challenging at times, but also rewarding. The ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to the needs of students is essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
