ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
Our client is seeking to appoint two enthusiastic and motivated Early Career Teachers of English to join their welcoming and supportive team at a successful all-through academy based in Ilford. This is an exciting opportunity for newly qualified or early-career educators who are ready to begin their teaching journey in a nurturing and ambitious school environment.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
As an Early Career Teacher of English, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering engaging and well-structured English lessons to students across KS3 and KS4

  • Contributing to the department’s curriculum planning and resource development

  • Supporting students to achieve their academic goals through high-quality teaching

  • Working closely with mentors and department leads to continuously improve practice

  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and inspiring classroom environment

  • Participating in staff training and ongoing professional development

  • Taking part in pastoral duties and contributing to the wider school life

WHAT OUR CLIENT IS LOOKING FOR
The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold (or be on track to obtain) QTS and a relevant undergraduate degree

  • Have experience teaching English at secondary level through placements or training

  • Be passionate about subject knowledge and committed to inspiring young learners

  • Have a strong understanding of effective classroom practice

  • Be a reflective practitioner willing to learn and grow within a supportive team

  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents

  • Be highly motivated, organised, and proactive in contributing to the school community
