Location: Nottingham (NG7)

About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and knowledgeable 1:1 Tutor to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support a student on a one-to-one basis, providing personalised academic support to help them achieve their full potential.

As a 1:1 Tutor, you will work closely with a student to deliver tailored lessons in line with their specific needs, helping them improve in their academic subjects and gain confidence in their learning abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one tuition to a student, ensuring the lessons are tailored to their specific learning needs and goals.

  • Develop and implement individualised lesson plans to support academic progress.

  • Offer targeted support in subjects such as English, Maths, Science, or other areas as required.

  • Assess the student’s progress regularly and adapt teaching methods to meet their evolving needs.

  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment to help the student build confidence and develop key academic skills.

  • Maintain regular communication with other stakeholders to discuss progress and provide updates.

  • Offer guidance on study techniques, organisation, and time management to aid the student’s overall development.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience working as a tutor or in an educational setting.

  • A relevant qualification in education (e.g., a degree, PGCE, or other teaching qualifications).

  • Strong subject knowledge in one or more areas (e.g., English, Maths, Science).

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain concepts clearly and effectively.

  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students.

  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).

  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their academic goals.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
