Job description

Experienced Tutor Wanted for Flexible One-to-One Support in Clifton (NG11)

Are you an experienced tutor with a passion for supporting primary/secondary school students? Do you enjoy providing flexible, one-to-one tutoring outside of mainstream schools? If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for you!

About the Role:

  • Location: Clifton (NG11)
  • Ideal for: NQTs, Teaching Assistants, or those with experience working with primary/secondary children
  • Role: Provide face-to-face education sessions with looked after children or those with additional needs at their homes or locally

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging sessions tailored to each child's needs
  • Work with children from various backgrounds and use effective strategies to meet their needs
  • Track progress and plan the next steps in their learning journey
  • Inspire and engage children to achieve their potential

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging sessions
  • Strong behaviour management and coping strategies
  • Capability to boost children’s confidence in their learning
  • Experience with SEN is desirable but not essential

Additional Information:

  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, between school hours of 8am–4pm 
  • Must have a current DBS certificate (update service registered); support available if needed

Benefits:

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
