Functional Skills Tutor
Job Duties:
- Conducting functional skills assessments to identify individual learning needs
- Developing tailored teaching plans to support learners in improving their functional skills
- Delivering engaging and interactive lessons in English, Maths, and ICT
- Providing constructive feedback to learners to aid their progression
- Monitoring and tracking learner progress and adjusting teaching methods accordingly
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
- Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed)
- Specialist qualification in English, Maths, or ICT
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching functional skills
- Excellent understanding of the functional skills curriculum
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learner needs
- Organisational skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
