Salary: £12.90 per hour

About the Role
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support for a pupil with additional needs. This is a full-time, ongoing position where you will play a vital role in helping the child access their education and thrive within the school environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one support to a pupil, adapting teaching strategies to meet their individual needs.
- Assist with learning activities and ensure the child is engaged and progressing in line with their goals.
- Support social and emotional development, fostering confidence and self-esteem.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and other professionals to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Monitor and record the pupil’s progress, providing feedback to staff and parents/guardians.
- Promote inclusion and help the child integrate with their peers during group activities.
- Maintain a safe and nurturing learning environment.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience working with children, ideally in a 1:1 or SEN support role.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to build strong relationships with children.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to meet the needs of the child.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) or National Curriculum is an advantage.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, childcare, or equivalent) are desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
