Position: Teaching Assistant (TA) - Year 3

Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only

Salary: £85 per day

Job Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to work one-on-one with a Year 3 pupil who has Autism and ADHD. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the pupil’s educational and social development, ensuring they can access the curriculum and fully participate in school life.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one support to a Year 3 pupil with Autism and ADHD.

Assist in implementing the pupil’s Individual Education Plan (IEP) and behaviour management strategies.

Work closely with the class teacher to adapt and differentiate lessons to meet the pupil’s needs.

Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Monitor and report on the pupil’s progress to teachers and parents.

Support the pupil in developing social skills and managing emotions.

Collaborate with SENCO, educational psychologists, and other professionals involved in the pupil’s care.

Requirements:

Previous experience working with children with Autism and ADHD is essential.

A relevant qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN) or a Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with special needs.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.

Knowledge of behaviour management techniques and strategies for supporting children with Autism and ADHD.
