  1:1 Teaching Assistant Opportunity – Norris Green Primary School

Are you a compassionate and experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? A welcoming Primary School in Norris Green is looking for a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their team and support a Year 1 pupil from February half term until the end of the academic year.

The Role

  • Position: 1:1 Teaching Assistant
  • Start Date: After February half term 2025 (24th February)
  • End Date: July 2025 (with potential for extension)
  • Location: Norris Green, Liverpool
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Provide tailored support to a Year 1 pupil with SEN, helping them to access the curriculum and thrive in the classroom.
    • Collaborate with class teachers and SENCO to implement effective strategies.
    • Foster a positive and nurturing environment to enhance the pupil’s learning and social development.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children with SEN, ideally on a 1:1 basis.
  • A caring and patient approach with a strong understanding of individual needs.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with teachers, parents, and support staff.
  • Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification are desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
