We're looking for a passionate and dedicated 1:1 Primary Tutor to help young learners achieve their academic goals and build confidence in their learning journey.
Job Overview:
As a 1:1 Primary Tutor, you will work closely with individual students to provide focused, one-on-one tutoring in a variety of subjects, helping them improve their academic skills, build confidence, and develop a love for learning. You’ll be a supportive mentor, working with students to address their specific challenges, tailor lessons to their needs, and guide them towards achieving their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 tutoring sessions for primary school students, focusing on key subjects such as English, Maths, and other areas as required.
- Adapt lesson plans and teaching methods to meet the individual needs and learning styles of each student.
- Foster a positive, encouraging, and motivating learning environment.
- Monitor student progress, set learning goals, and provide constructive feedback.
- Use a variety of teaching materials and strategies to make lessons engaging and enjoyable.
- Help students build key skills, such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and independent learning.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Passion for working with primary school children and helping them achieve their best.
- Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum, especially in English and Maths.
- Previous experience working with children, either as a tutor, teacher, teaching assistant, or in another educational capacity.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to teaching.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with young learners.
- Creative, flexible, and able to adapt lessons to suit each student’s needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
