Job Duties:
- Provide one-on-one tutoring in GCSE English and Maths
- Create tailored lesson plans to meet the individual needs of students
- Assess and monitor student progress regularly
- Identify areas of improvement and provide additional support where necessary
- Encourage and motivate students to achieve their academic goals
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance
Required Qualifications:
- A relevant degree in English, Maths, or Education - Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) - Enhanced DBS check
Education:
- Degree in English, Maths, or Education
Experience:
- Previous experience in tutoring or teaching GCSE students - Experience working with students with diverse learning needs - Familiarity with the GCSE curriculum
Knowledge and Skills:
- Approachable and patient - Ability to manage challenging behaviour effectively - Good time management skills - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional qualifications in special education or SEN support
Working Conditions:
- Part-time hours - Flexible schedule - Work primarily in a learners home - Potential travel to student homes for tutoring sessions - Adherence to safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
