OB-YPOST TITLE: Youth Worker
LOCATION: Leyland
START DATE: January 2025
CONTRACT TYPE: Full-time, part-time and flexible contracts
Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit three additional support staff members, ideally experienced Youth/Support Workers for employment in secondary schools based in the Leyland area.
The class sizes vary between generally 15-20 pupils, and having effective support within school is crucial to supporting the students appropriately. You will have strong interpersonal skills in order to communicate with families, carers and a multidisciplinary team of teaching staff, social workers and educational psychologists. You will be organised, patient and confident, with a sound understanding of the key issues currently affecting young people.
As these can be challenging environments you will ideally have experience in this sector and have worked with challenging individuals. The schools are open to various experience and try and recruit based on the unique skills a candidate can bring to the role, giving their pupils exposure to new experiences.
