Year 5 Teacher

Sefton based Catholic School

November 2024 – July 2025 (temporary contract)

£100+ per day

A graded ‘GOOD’ Catholic School located in Bootle, Sefton, have approached Teaching Personnel in order to source a Year 3 teacher to work full-time from November 2024 until July 2025. The school have approached Teaching Personnel as we hold a Service Level Agreement with Catholic Schools under the Archdiocese of Liverpool. The permanent class teacher will be beginning maternity leave during the summer holidays and the school have decided to implement a long-term teacher in order to gain the consistency with the children in the class. The cover role will be to start in September and will run full-time for a minimum of 12 months. The Business Manager at the school has noted that the role will potentially last longer so the appointment could be considered more longer term, possibly in a different year group.

With this in mind, the Head teacher would like to see the CVs of any applying teachers by 18th October at the latest. The CV must state your recent experience working in a KS2 class and also state how you have improved pupil progress in school. School is open throughout the holidays for sports clubs. This would be expected to be done using socially distance measures. The school are open to all candidates applying, from ECTs to UPS Teachers.

The school does fall under Archdiocese of Liverpool and so it is important that you are able to respect and uphold the Catholic Faith in school. The Headteacher is proud of the staff team she has established and is looking for someone who can adapt and fit into the team. The school use the Read Write Inc Phonics scheme and it is therefore important that you have experience working alongside this.
