Are you a passionate and dedicated primary teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity in Weymouth?
We are seeking an enthusiastic Year 4 Teacher to join a friendly and supportive primary school for a temporary position starting immediately and running through to the end of January 2025. You will be working with a small class of 14 pupils, supported by two teaching assistants (TAs), with a focus on providing high-quality education to students with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to a class of 14 Year 4 pupils.
  • Provide tailored support to SEN pupils, ensuring an inclusive and accessible learning environment.
  • Work closely with two teaching assistants to implement individual learning plans and strategies.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching methods to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom atmosphere.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and colleagues to ensure effective support for students.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Be a qualified teacher with a passion for working with children, particularly those with SEN.
  • Have experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (KS2), ideally Year 4.
  • Be proactive, flexible, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of differentiation and inclusive teaching practices.
  • Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff.
  • Have a calm, patient, and empathetic approach to working with children with additional needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
