Are you passionate about supporting young learners and helping them grow and thrive? We are looking for a dedicated Year 1 Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant and friendly team starting in January 2025.

The Role:
As a Year 1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the class teacher to deliver engaging and effective lessons. You will work closely with students to support their individual learning needs, helping to provide tailored interventions and encouragement both inside and outside the classroom. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about supporting young children’s academic and social development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Year 1 class teacher with the delivery of lessons and activities.
- Support individual and small group learning, both in class and during interventions.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and encourage positive attitudes towards learning.
- Work closely with the teacher to track and support the progress of students.
- Support students with additional learning needs, ensuring that they are engaged and included.
- Prepare and organise classroom resources and learning materials.
- Foster a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment for all students.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting (desirable).
- A positive and proactive attitude with a genuine passion for working with young children.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to engage children in their learning.
- A willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent) is desirable, but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
