Vocational Tutor
Location – Northamptonshire
Salary- £25,410 - £29,190 per annum dependent on qualifications and experience
Start date ASAP or January Start

Teaching Personnel have an exciting opportunity to work with an independent school based in Northamptonshire. The school has pupils aged 11-19 for small group and individualised learning, focusing on social and emotional development. Concentrating on building strong and trusting relationships between staff and pupils forming the foundation for success.

The Job

  • To plan and deliver an inspiring curriculum that enables all pupils to make good progress, enjoy and achieve, ensuring all learning builds towards a defined end point.
  • To plan, develop and deliver an alternative programme of work specifically tailored to meet the needs of identified pupils, in order to develop their literacy, numeracy, social skills and emotional wellbeing, and ensure that they achieve their full learning potential. This programme can include internal and external learning activities.
  • To ensure that the alternative programme of work includes activities designed to meet the curriculum for the core subjects (eg Maths, English) and that these activities enable all pupils to make good progress, enjoy and achieve, and build towards a defined end point.
  • To be responsible for completion of relevant documentation such as assessment, referrals and transition plans.

Qualifications

  • Recognised teaching qualification
  • A passion for working with pupils with SEN and a range of emotional and behavioural difficulties
  • The ability to deliver lessons that are informative, interesting and inspiring
  • A dedication to positive behaviour management
  • You will be required to transport pupils so you must be able to drive and have access to your own car

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
