About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive learning experiences for pupils. Your experience in childcare will enable you to foster a nurturing and supportive environment where students can thrive.
This role is perfect for individuals who may not hold formal teaching qualifications but have experience working with children and a strong commitment to helping them succeed.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting the classroom teacher with daily activities and lessons.
- Providing one-on-one or small group support to students who need additional help.
- Supporting children’s emotional and social development.
- Helping to create and maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Encouraging positive behavior and engagement in learning.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in childcare (e.g., nursery, playgroup, or similar settings).
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to different needs and situations.
- An enhanced DBS check (Teaching Personnel can assist with this if needed).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
