Pay: £100 - £120 per day

Are you passionate about education and looking to gain experience in the classroom? Do you have a strong ability to manage and engage with students? We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as an Unqualified Teacher (Cover Supervisor) in a secondary school in Newport.

As an unqualified Teacher, you will be responsible for supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students remain on track with their work and maintaining a positive and productive learning environment. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to gain experience in the education sector or pursue a career in teaching.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher
• Deliver pre-prepared lessons and follow provided lesson plans
• Maintain a positive and productive learning environment
• Ensure student behaviour is in line with school policies
• Support students in their learning, providing guidance and assistance as needed
• Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians when required

Requirements:

• Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to apply).
• 2 recent references available.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) (or willingness to apply).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
