Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently looking for Cover Supervisors that are keen to work across multiple schools in and around the Bath area. As a cover supervisor, you will be responsible for carrying out lessons in the absence of full-time staff and ensure that children still receive high level learning to achieve their goals.

The successful applicant will be:

  • Confident and enthusiastic
  • Has a passion for teaching and supporting young people
  • Ability to slot into new environments with ease
  • Experience within relevant fields (coaching, tutoring, lecturing etc)
  • Comfortable covering a range of subjects using preplanned work
  • Be prepared to work on short notice
  • Confident using a range of behaviour management techniques to fit in line with schools policies

If you are a looking to become a teacher in the future and want to network in a variety of schools or enjoy supporting young people and want to do this in a classroom, then we can provide you with regular daily/long term work. Whether you are looking for a flexible work or something a bit more long-term, we would love to hear from you. Working on a supply basis will require you to ideally have your own form of transport / access to good public transport links. We also have several pre-planned absences where we will be able to provide you with advanced notice of work, allowing you plenty of time to prepare for the day ahead.

You will be expected to deliver the work set by the permanent member of staff for each lesson.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
