Team Teach Qualified Teaching Assistant
Job description
Teaching Assistants – Team Teach Qualified
Pontefract, Castleford, Featherstone, and Surrounding Areas | Competitive Pay Rates
Are you a Team Teach-qualified Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity? We’re seeking motivated and caring individuals to support schools and SEN settings across Pontefract, Castleford, Featherstone, and the surrounding areas. This is an exciting chance to work with pupils who need extra guidance while building your career in education, with many placements leading to longer-term roles.
The pupils you’ll be working with may face challenges such as Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), or behavioural difficulties. These young people thrive when supported by empathetic, consistent adults who can provide stability, set boundaries, and act as role models. Your role will involve building trust, helping pupils to develop confidence, and supporting them to overcome barriers to learning.
Using your Team Teach training, you’ll help manage and de-escalate challenging situations to ensure a safe and structured learning environment. Alongside teachers and school staff, you’ll assist with lessons and activities, ensuring that each pupil has the opportunity to engage, grow, and achieve their potential. Your patience, resilience, and ability to relate to young people will play a crucial part in creating positive outcomes.
This role offers flexibility, allowing you to work around your schedule while gaining valuable experience in a range of educational settings. Many of our placements lead to long-term or permanent roles, making this an excellent opportunity for those seeking career progression in education.
To be successful, you’ll need a current Team Teach qualification and experience working with children or young people with additional needs. While having your own transport is beneficial, it’s not essential.
We have opportunities available across Pontefract, Castleford, Featherstone, and nearby areas. If you’re ready to make a real difference in the lives of young people and support them in achieving their potential, we’d love to hear from you.
Apply today to take the next step in your education career!
