Teaching Assistants – Key Stage 1 & Key Stage 2 (Pontypridd)
Location: Pontypridd, South Wales
Contract Type: Full-Time and Part-Time Positions Available
Pay: £12.90 per hour
Start Date: As Soon As Possible
Teaching Personnel are seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Teaching Assistants to support Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 students in Pontypridd. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about working with young learners, especially those who may have additional learning needs (ALN), such as moderate learning difficulties, Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, or other specific educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide in-class support and tailored assistance to Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 students
- Assist children with additional learning needs, ensuring they are fully included and supported in classroom activities
- Implement and adapt educational strategies to support students’ individual learning plans (IEPs)
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other school staff to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
- Engage with students to promote confidence, independence, and a love for learning
Who We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in an educational setting or working with children with additional learning needs is desirable
- An understanding of moderate learning difficulties, autism spectrum condition, ADHD, or other additional needs is beneficial
- Patience, empathy, and a positive, proactive approach to supporting children
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, and a commitment to creating a supportive learning environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
