Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Location: Bridgwater, Somerset

Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Start Date: As soon as possible

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in their educational journey. This may include children with challenging behaviour, Autism or ADHD and/ or mental health challenges (SEMH).  Your responsibilities will include:

-          Providing one-on-one or small group support to students who may need extra help.

-          Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students can thrive.

-          Building strong rapport with students, creating a safe and trusting learning environment.

-          Tailoring lesson plans and learning materials to meet individual needs of students.

-          Assisting the student with various activities, ensuring they are engaged and motivated.

Previous experience working with students or in a similar educational setting is a plus.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
