Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Location: Exmouth, Devon

Pay Rate: £12.90 per hour + dependent upon experience

Start Date: As soon as possible

About the Role:
Teaching Personnel is seeking a versatile and dedicated Teaching Assistant to work with primary schools across Exmouth. This role offers the opportunity to support students across various year groups while enjoying flexible working arrangements tailored to your availability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with teachers to deliver engaging lessons and activities.
  • Assist in preparing classroom resources and teaching materials.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils, fostering their development.
  • Promote positive behavior and create a nurturing learning environment.
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN), adapting your approach as needed.
  • Build positive relationships with students and staff, contributing to a welcoming school culture.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with children or in an educational setting is advantageous.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptability and a proactive attitude to supporting different year groups.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and well-being.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
