Job description

Teaching Personnel collaborates with Primary and Middle schools in the Wimborne area, providing ongoing classroom support and one-on-one assistance to pupils needing extra attention and guidance.

Do you have experience working with children in any setting, whether it's in a care environment or as a Teaching Assistant? We're eager to hear from you!

Teaching Personnel offers a variety of flexible working options to accommodate everyone's needs.

  • Day-to-day support and sickness cover entails us calling you either in the afternoon before or on the morning of the workday to check your availability for sickness cover.
  • Short-term cover is similar to day-to-day; it involves bookings for days or weeks to address short-term absences or to provide cover for courses.
  • Long-term cover ranges from 1-5 days a week for more than 5 weeks. These positions often lead to year-long appointments or even permanent roles.
  • Temporary to Permanent employment means working 1-5 days a week for 20 weeks, after which you will transition to a permanent employee of the school.

  • Assistance with document compliance, including Enhanced DBS applications and a complimentary Safeguarding Level 2 course (mandatory for all schools), is provided.
  • A dedicated consultant will secure interviews, trials, and confirm short or long-term bookings.
  • The MyTP app allows you to manage your diary and make booking decisions at your convenience.
  • Additionally, you have access to other free and discounted courses to enhance your skills, making you more attractive to school employers.
  • Register with us to work in local Primary and Middle schools in your area.
  • Take bookings you are happy and available for whether that be long or short-term.
  • Work in variety of environments where no two days are the same.
  • Weekly pay, working one week in arears. 

Requirements:

  • Enhanced Child DBS certificate that is registered to the update service.
  • Experience working with children across EYFS to KS2/3 (any Key stage experience accepted)
  • Flexibility and drive to deliver excellent support for the class or individual pupils!
  • Completion of our vetting/compliance checks, enabling you to work with children safely.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
