Learning Support Assistants (LSA) – Southampton
Location:Southampton
Position: Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent (via Teaching Personnel)
Start Date: Immediate, following safer recruitment checks
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to pupils with additional educational needs.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to ensure the effective delivery of tailored learning programmes.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to create a positive and productive learning atmosphere.
- Promote the personal development and independence of pupils, fostering confidence and a positive attitude towards learning.
Essential Criteria:
- Prior experience working with children with SEND.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience in an educational setting is preferable but not essential; full training will be provided.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills, with the ability to adapt to the needs of the pupils.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
