Job Duties:

• Supporting classroom teachers in delivering lessons
• Assisting students with their learning and development
• Preparing educational materials and resources
• Supervising students in the classroom and during break times
• Providing one-on-one support to students who require extra help

Required Qualifications:

• GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths
• Relevant teaching assistant certification or qualification

Education:

Minimum of GCSEs or equivalent

Experience:

Previous experience working in a school or educational setting

Knowledge and Skills:

• Understanding of educational principles and practises
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team
• Strong organisational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Higher level teaching assistant qualification
• First aid certification

Working Conditions:

The role involves working in a classroom environment, supporting teachers and students during school hours. Full-time hours are expected, with occasional overtime depending on school activities and events. The role may also involve some physical activity, such as supervising students during outdoor play or sports activities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
