Job Advertisement: Teaching Assistant (Level 2 Childcare)
Location: Retford
Are you passionate about supporting children’s growth and learning in a school environment? We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with a Level 2 Childcare qualification to join our friendly and supportive primary school team in Retford.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils, including those with additional learning needs.
- Create a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes children’s emotional and social well-being.
- Support classroom management and preparation of resources.
- Encourage positive behavior and help pupils reach their full potential.
- Supervise children during break times, outings, and extracurricular activities.
- Collaborate with the teaching team and contribute to the wider school community.
Requirements:
- Level 2 Childcare qualification (or equivalent).
- Experience working with primary-aged children in an educational or childcare setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach to supporting children.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices.
- Flexibility and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
