Job Advertisement: Teaching Assistant (Level 2 Childcare)

Are you passionate about supporting children’s growth and learning in a school environment? We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with a Level 2 Childcare qualification to join our friendly and supportive primary school team in Retford.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils, including those with additional learning needs.
• Create a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes children’s emotional and social well-being.
• Support classroom management and preparation of resources.
• Encourage positive behavior and help pupils reach their full potential.
• Supervise children during break times, outings, and extracurricular activities.
• Collaborate with the teaching team and contribute to the wider school community.

Requirements:

• Level 2 Childcare qualification (or equivalent).
• Experience working with primary-aged children in an educational or childcare setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach to supporting children.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices.
• Flexibility and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
