Teaching Assistant
Job description
I am seeking a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join one of my SEN schools team to contribute to their mission of empowering every student to succeed.
Start Date: Immediate
Note: This position is initially through Teaching Personnel, with the aim of transitioning to a direct school contract.
Job Description:
- As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide essential support to children with special educational needs within our school's SEN provision.
- Work closely with the SENCO and class teachers to implement individualised learning plans and interventions.
- Assist students with academic tasks and social interaction, as required.
- Collaborate with external agencies, parents, and fellow staff members to ensure the holistic development and inclusion of SEN students.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working in a SEN provision within a school setting is essential.
- Strong understanding of various SEN needs and strategies for supporting students with diverse needs.
- Must have a valid DBS check on the update service or be willing to undergo a new one.
- Compassionate, patient, and adaptable, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
