Position: Supply Teaching Assistant

Location: Bournemouth or Poole, Dorset

Pay: £12.90 per hour

Role Description: As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work in various SEN schools across Poole, providing valuable support to students with a range of special educational needs. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting classroom teachers in implementing individualized learning plans
  • Providing one-on-one support to students with SEN
  • Promoting inclusion and fostering a supportive learning environment
  • Assisting with personal care and medical needs, where necessary
  • Supporting students with social and emotional development
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure the overall well-being and academic progress of students

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs is preferred but not essential
  • A compassionate and patient attitude towards supporting students with diverse needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in different school settings
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
