Join Our Team as a Teaching Assistant in a Leading SEN Residential School

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at a highly regarded residential school located in the Ormskirk area.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support teachers in delivering high-quality, personalized education to children with autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and other complex needs.
  • Work closely with therapists, educators, and other professionals to implement tailored learning plans and ensure students are progressing in all areas.
  • Help foster a positive, inclusive, and therapeutic environment that encourages independence, confidence, and social development.
  • Provide one-to-one support and group activities to engage and inspire students.
  • Assist with daily routines, classroom management, and encouraging positive behavior.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A caring, patient, and proactive individual with a passion for SEN education.
  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is beneficial, but we also welcome applications from those eager to learn.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to meet the diverse needs of our students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
