Supply Teaching Assistant – Start January 2025

Position Details:

  • Location: Hull, East Yorkshire
  • Hours: Full-time (Monday to Friday)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Classroom Support: Assist teachers in delivering one-to-one and small-group learning activities.
  • Lesson Preparation: Contribute to lesson planning and preparation, ensuring students’ learning objectives are met.
  • Targeted Interventions: Deliver focused interventions tailored to support student progress, including implementing personalized learning plans.
  • Positive Relationships: Build strong, supportive relationships with students, staff, and families, fostering an inclusive and welcoming school environment.
  • School Engagement: Actively participate in the school community, promoting its ethos and contributing to the overall school culture.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track and record student progress, providing clear feedback to teachers and families.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in diverse school settings, quickly building rapport with new students and colleagues.
  • Safeguarding: Prioritize the safety and well-being of students by upholding safeguarding policies at all times.

About You:

Essential Attributes:

  • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their learning journey.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to different classroom environments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a related educational role.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant Certificate (preferred but not essential).
  • Experience delivering interventions or working with children with additional needs is a plus.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
